- The entry to Russia of all foreign citizens and stateless persons is suspended from 18 March until further notice. The ban will not be applicable to employees of diplomatic missions in Russia, drivers of motor vehicles serving international routes, aircraft, ship and railway crews, members of official delegations, holders of diplomatic or service visas as well as holders of regular working qualified specialists visas (multiple working visas), private visas arriving in Russia due to the death of a close relative, and transit air passengers.
Applications for all visa types and categories except for the abovementioned cases are also suspended from 18, March until further notice.
- The issuance of electronic visas is suspended.
According to the latest arrangements, foreign citizens going to Russia must provide negative test results for COVID-19, with testing made not earlier than 3 days before entering Russia. Travellers shall have the relevant certificate upon boarding the flight.
To facilitate the border crossing process travellers from Hong Kong are required to provide the test results issued by Hong Kong Sanatorium and Hospital (https://covid.hksh.com/).
